  1. Me too!

Glasto via BBC for me but elder daughter is actually there having an "absolutely amazing time" apparently.

And the sun shone on the righteous. And those not quite so good, but wtf it's summer at last.

    1. Hope, you guessed I was watching at home too & experimented with taking some photos of my favourites on TV. I thought they conveyed the wonderfulness quite well!

  2. inside, we all are Nilly- its just the outside thats the problem!
I thought this was brought home perfectly when no-one could singalong with Kenny Rogers on Ruby Don't Take. . . cos they were too young to know the words!

    1. The thing is, I COULD sing along with Tom Odell and Vampire Weekend and don't even think about my Of Monsters and Men dance! "Sad" doesn't even come close!
PS. I wasn't there - I photographed my favourites on the TV.

    1. Oh dear - my photos of the telly have fooled everybody - I wasn't actually there! Still - it was fun, even on TV.

  5. ... and it's how we feel on the inside that matters! Who cares what anyone else thinks!! I'd love to go again - we're hopefully off to the Larmer Tree Festival soon, a lot smaller, but still fun. M x

    1. I'm afraid I didn't actually go (though we sometimes go to small festivals when son number 3 is playing). I loved Sunday's line-up and had fun taking photos of the TV!

  6. Makes me smile when I hear that the Rolling Stones have gone from sex, drugs and rock and roll, to whole food; organic; knitted tofu canapes; holistic medicine; muesli and monkfish skewers with a side of good karma.

What happened to the good old days?

    Inside I'm still 18, and on a good day, outside I'm 18, well okay... M & S's size 18!

    1. It's my belief that Mr Jagger was always in control of the situation and the band(read Marianne Faithfull's biography)- he's one cool autocrat. Not my type!

    1. Help! Everyone thinks I WENT to Glastonbury - I just watched my favourites on BBC & took some photos of the telly. Quite effective!

  9. It is OK Nilly - I have read the comments and know that you were sitting in front of the TV taking some very good photos actually. I wasn't here but it seems to have been an evocative Glastonbury for the oldies.

    1. All these events are evocative to us - we are '60s people and still think we were the first to discover how to enjoy being young!

  10. Fantastic! as I read down I burst out laughing as you wrote 'help everyone thinks I went to Glastonbury...'
I did wonder how you were photographing the people and they weren't looking at you, afraid to say I too thought you'd gone, thing is everyone does these instagram looking photos now so we probably all thought that's what they were, great post!

    1. I've heard of instagram, but I don't know how to do it - don't you need an i-phone or similar new-fangled piece of kit...?
