ALL THE B's - BRIGHTON, BIRTHDAY, BEACHES ETC.

While Bargain-hunting in the South this week we managed a trip to Brighton, for my Birthday.

OK, so the Bins had not been emptied for quite a while...

"Gimme a chip!"

...and the Birds were Behaving very Badly,

But I was Bewitched by the Pavilion and the park life.

Later we mingled with other Bohemians at Charleston Farmhouse.

What's good enough for the Bloomsbury Group is good enough for us!

Could anything possibly Beat this?

Oh yes! An evening picnic on the most Beautiful Beach in the South East, a first for us Both. We're looking forward to many happy returns.

  1. The last photo Nilly is gorgeous - you must frame it - it looks like there is a story to be told.
    Belated Happy Birthday to you.
Love all your people watching photos - lots of characters in the Brighton area - it is many years since I have visited Charleston Farmhouse, and it looks just the same.

  2. Happy Birthday!

Brighton - I love it. A friend has opened the most wonderful tea room there. The Blackbird Tea Rooms.

Charleston - I've yet to visit though I'm a fan of the artistic fellowship. I am thrilled to have obtained a small section of an original textile ( part of a curtain) designed by Duncan Grant from the Omega workshops that I treasure.

Trouble is, these flying business/pleasure trips are always over so quickly.
No rest for the weary - or is it no peace for the wicked?

    1. The Pavilion is amazing - fabulously valuable treasures inside too. I think they belong to Her Maj. so, for us, there was strictly no photography allowed. I do hope you got away with some wedding photos!

Looking forward to a planned visit to Charleston next year. I've wanted to go for so long and now I have a friend to come with me. Shame about the rubbish in Brighton, though.
